Is Your Toothpaste Toxic?

a blog post on oral health

If you want to take action and start living a healthier lifestyle, this is a must!

I’ve been wanting to write this post for forever. I wanted to do more research and take a better photo beforehand, but I’m going to keep this quick…

Many mainstream toothpastes and dental flosses are super bad for you. The ingredients are kept very discreet as they don’t even really mention them. I mean what are those white crystals on dental floss anyway? I’ve never seen the ingredients listed anywhere. Brushing our teeth is something we do everyday. Many health issues begin in the mouth as it’s very absorable. We absolutely can not brush our teeth with harmful chemicals. Many toothpastes are filled with nasty ingredients. This is such a simple step to take. Throw out your crappy toothpaste and promise yourself that you will not use toxic substances to brush your teeth. Here are some of the ingredients to avoid, but really, just think about it, if you aren’t using a non-toxic brand, your toothpaste is probably harmful.

  • Propylene Glycol
  • Diethanolamine (DEA)
  • Microbeads
  • Artificial Flavors and Colors
  • Triclosan
  • Sodium Laureth Sulfate
  • Potassium Sorbate
  • Sodium Benzoate
  • Fluoride
  • Alcohols and Ethanol

I prefer to use a clay based toothpaste. You can even just use plain baking soda. It does take some getting use to, but I promise once you make the change you will never want to brush your teeth with your old toothpaste again. That’s all for now. Opinions on this?…leave them in the comments below.

I was just wondering how you define toxic/non-toxic in terms of what you choose to use. Fluoride is an ion of fluorine, a naturally occurring element, so I was just curious why you would include that as harmful.

Hmmmmmmm… Now you are feeding my idea that I have for some time now. I started thinking about it from the same premise you stated here – something that we are using every day. How convenient for governments of the world to affect people. I’m not some chemtrails conspirator but it is an opportunity for them. Be 8 agree on baking soda.
