Interior Design: A Look Inside My Home

Style Blogger- Interior design, boho-chicThis is actually a pretty personal post showing you inside my home. Maybe it will be nice to know that you are not taking style and health advice from someone who’s home does not compare. I cared so much about my living space that I hired interior designer, Mollie Ranzie. I was referred to her by the owners of the home that I lived in previously, also in the Hills. The house had been on House Hunters and Mollie was the designer from the show. She’s been on a bunch of those shows.

First and foremost, finding a place in L.A. is no easy task. I really preferred a house over an apartment or loft and I wanted a house with character. After looking at dozens of places I settled on one in Laurel Canyon. It had too many random things going on for me to know what to do with it. I knew I wanted to go boho-chic and I wanted everything to be as eco-friendly and non-toxic as possible. Mollie worked with me on everything and it was such a fun process. Even though she handles the layout and design it’s still a collaborative effort as she wants you to have a space that’s yours. She works with the things you already have and you can always say no to something as there’s options for everything. She totally got me and what I was going for. My move was super easy and stress free thanks to her and her team of people.

Of course I think there’s a sense of pride to decorating your place all on your own. I like being thrifty, shopping at flea markets, bazzars, finding antique treasures and all that, but I know that it would have been a year long project and I wanted to feel settled fast. Mollie tries to stay within your budget and picks items from all over. It was so interesting to see. She said she used more vendors for my place then usual (I’m special, lol). We even got things from Etsy and a nice piece from Craigslist (she’s good with emergency finds when something becomes unavailable)! Some things are one of a kind or vintage and some are mass produced. She really made sure that everything was eco-friendly and non-toxic too! I know that was a challenge for her and if I were to do that myself I would have obsessed over everything way to hard. Also, she picks items that are readily available. I usually end up buying things that takes months to get, Mollie’s not about that life, lol.

Lately, I’ve been a major homebody (by choice), but at least I have an awesome home (Oh, my view is to die for. You can see DTLA, the observatory, and even the Hollywood Sign). You will notice that a lot of my photos were taken at my house. I honestly was not planning to take photos here, but it just worked out that way. I hope she doesn’t mind me using her work for my soft porn-like photos, lol.

I highly recommend hiring Mollie Ranzie for your next interior design project. She is super professional and talented. I’m guessing it doesn’t cost as much as you think it does, but if you are like me and want a comfortable place quick, it’s worth every penny!

This is beautiful, pure luxury. The designer knew exactly what to do here and there. Amazing job.
I´m still mindblown, the iMacs, it fits in there perfectly.
It´s like an empire in which she lives.
I want to live there for some time.
No stress, pure relaxation, these wooden elements make it so beautiful.
When visiting her I wouldn’t want to leave again.

For such a beautifully appointed home, I am left only with the feeling that the bathroom could use some further love from you. The toilet is not even low flush. Where is the spa area for the lady? and not to mention the desired walk in closet to show case your wardrobe style.
